Koitiata – Easter 2011

Ah, sunsets and sea.  You can’t beat a beach holiday even if it is the beginning of winter. The light is great and you don’t have to get up too early to catch the sunrise! Sunsets come just before the dinner hour so it’s out with the camera before retiring with a glass of wine and a new recipe to try out in the caravan.  The photos below were taken at (or very near) Koitiata which is on the western coast of the lower North Island.  The church with two towers is the foundation church of the Ratana religion.  The other is a small rural church set amongst the cornfields.
