South Island road trip – Castle Hill

A little way along Arthur’s Pass, there is a wonderfully intriguing area of enormous rocks that have been exposed over millenniums of weathering.  These huge outcrops and boulders seem, to me, to have gathered an almost ‘animus’ presence along with the lichen and erosion effect.
